I grew up Catholic, but for some reason I could never wrap my head around the whole concept. As a kid, I couldn’t help but notice how my science and religion teachers contradicted each other. The only noticeable difference to me was that one of them backed their story with facts, the other one just referenced a book that was thousands of years old.

Writing Code For VR
I have been exploring with React VR recently and it is quite interesting to write code for Virtual Reality compared to web. I mean for the most part you are still writing React code so a lot is very similar. But since you are working within a 3D space you have to think in terms of meters instead of pixels. Your canvas is no longer of rectangular shape but a sphere (or cube) that wraps around you. The viewport is now a camera with a horizontal and vertical Field OF View (FOV). Laphroaig
The idea was to build a single page microsite to promote Laphroaig® 10 year and Laphroaig® Select.
To promote Laphroaig® we built a Flavor Wheel designed to help bar tenders mix great cocktails using Laphroaig® and pair those cocktails with delicious food. The Flavor Wheel lets a bar tender spin the wheel to quickly find a flavor. When they click on a flavor the site loads a featured cocktail along with a food pairing suggestion. It also shows a few more cocktail options right below the featured cocktail and food pairing section to get the bar tender’s creative juices going.
